About Us
Design Perfect Home Staging was created in 2006. Husband and wife team, Mark and Daina Carter are the creative minds and owners of the business. In the summer of 2005, Mark and Daina were preparing their home to go up for sale. They decided to stage their own property and the results paid off. Their real estate agent suggested that this talented team should further explore home staging and the idea soon became a reality.  Six short months later, Design Perfect Home Staging was born.

Daina initially started the business as a creative outlet that utilized her existing artistic abilities. Mark, who is the head chef for their catering business of 13 years, desired a change of scenery and volunteered to become the company's professional mover. To kick off their new business, Mark and Daina purchased 4 sofas and a few other furniture pieces at an auction. They initially invested in an 8x10 storage unit to fill with accessories and decor.  With fingers crossed, the couple was hopeful their new business venture would blossom. Within a few months, the business grew and Design Perfect moved into a small 1500 square feet space.  It was a big jump for Mark and Daina but the extra space was needed to expand their growing inventory. And then the company grew again and now Design Perfect occupies a 5000 square foot warehouse, holding enough furnishings to stage 30-40 homes.
Design Perfect is now one of the premier staging companies in the greater Seattle region. The team has created a strong community reputation for providing homeowners with expert staging services.

Mark and Daina are truly grateful for the growth and success from their initial inspiration.  Their story exemplifies the power of being passionate about what you do and the desire to share creativity with others.

Edgar Gil-Calvillo joined Design Perfect in 2010. As the lead designer, he directs the entire process of home staging transformations. Edgar has a true passion for creativity and his dedicated personality has been a strong asset to Design Perfect.
